We believe that God has not only ordained certain ends (the spread of His gospel and the building of His church), but also that He has ordained certain means to the accomplishment of those ends. The primary method God has chosen to use is the preaching of His Word (1 Corinthians 1:17-25, 2 Timothy 4:1-5).
Therefore, there is no substitute for the preaching of God's Word. It must be primary in the life of God's church. We believe that God honors the faithful preaching of His Word and that He will use His Word to accomplish His purposes in His time.
We are an evangelistic church. We encourage members to share the gospel with their friends. We encourage members to invite lost people to attend our services. We knock on doors and seek to share the gospel with people in surrounding communities.
In all our evangelistic efforts we seek to be biblical while avoiding the fads and gimmicks of the day. Our confidence is never in ourselves or in our strategies or programs. Our confidence is in the power of God working through the gospel (Romans 1:16).
We purpose to faithfully preach the Word of God, and we pray that God would be pleased to send the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6). Whatever results we can manipulate by our own efforts will not result in lasting fruit. However, when God does the work, the work will be done indeed.
